Argenteuil is mobilising on Friday, May 10. Meet at 5:30 PM at the train station "Val d'Argenteuil".
The suburbs want Taubira's Law to be withdrawn.
To echo the gatherings organised last week-end in all the regions of France, a demonstration is planned in Argenteuil, a suburb near Paris, on Friday May 10th at 5:30 PM. The popular families of France are getting together against Taubira's law.
The message that has been carried by the “Manif pour Tous” over the past few months is clear, and it will not change : “Withdraw Taubira's Law at 100%”. Once again, this claim will be at the hearth of a demonstration. Far from the cultural elites, the French popular families are intending to make themselves heard. They seek to support the Family, which is all the more essential in the context of an economic crisis, to support Marriage as the union of a man and a woman, and to support the Father-Mother-Child parentage that derives from it. Without even waiting for the decision of the Constitutional Council, the “Manif pour Tous” is renewing its call to the President of the French Republic to refuse the promulgation of Taubira's Law, which will allow homosexual couples to marry and adopt children, and which will open the way to Medically Assisted Procreation for homosexual couples and to surrogate mothers.
The demonstration is organised by the “Manif pour Tous” with the support of the “Muslims for childhood”, the “Catholic Family Associations”, the “Protestant Family Associations”, the UOIF, Vita Alliance, and the Mayors for Childhood Collective. It is thus the people in France in all their diversity that will speak out in the streets of Argenteuil to defend children's right to a father and a mother, against Taubira's Law which seeks to deprive some of them of that fundamental right. It is another rehearsal in preparation of the third great demonstration planned for May 26 in Paris.
The “Manif pour Tous” deeply regrets the fact that François Hollande has refused any form of discussion and debate on this issue, even neglecting to make any action or gesture to appease the situation. Since no alternative has been suggested by the government, the “Manif pour Tous” has no other choice than to ask for the withdrawal of Taubira's Law.
